MYTHICAL PROPERTIES

Created in collaboration with Portland-based running club, Imigisha, this Tall Trails Hat features the Gray Crowned Crane, the national bird of Rwanda. The bird symbolizes wealth and longevity in Rwandan culture, and it’s also emblematic of the country’s cultural and ecological heritage. Nearing extinction due to habitat loss and illegal trade, the crane population was able to bounce back with the help of extensive conservation efforts. The species’ recovery is in itself a symbol of African renewal and resilience. 

ABOUT IMIGISHA

Imgisha Running Club is a BIPOC and community-focused inclusive run club in Portland, Oregon. They hold monthly runs in collaboration with Fleet Feet in Northwest Portland and support runners of all types and skill levels. “Imigisha” is a Rwandan word meaning “blessings.” Because every day out in nature, and on a run, should be a blessing. Folklord and Imigisha share the same values and hope to spread the joy and love or running to as many people as possible.
