Yarrow has long been renown for its protective qualities and its ability to ward off negative energy. Paradoxically, it was also said to be the Devil’s favorite plant. He’d walk the streets at night and shake yarrow (commonly called “devil’s nettle”) at the houses of those he wished to curse. But there are many conflicting tales of the plant being used for both good and evil, making it somewhat of a notorious anti-hero in the folklore world. Bridesmaids would bring yarrow to weddings for seven years of love. It also gave witches their ability to fly and Achilles (of heel fame) was dipped into a vat of yarrow tea for his unlimited strength. We hope it does something good for you.
